Dr. Nadim Nasir, a native Houstonian, is a cum laude honor graduate of the University of Houston. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX where he was elected to membership into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. Upon graduation with honors from Medical School in 1986, he stayed in Dallas where he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He returned to Houston in 1989 where he completed in 1992 his Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowships in 1992 at Baylor College of Medicine and where he trained with Dr. Antonio Pacifico. Dr. Nasir joined Dr. Pacifico in practice in 1992 and has been a senior member of TAI since its inception.
Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Dr. Nasir is Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine. He holds staff appointments at the Methodist Hospital, St Luke's Episcopal Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, Memorial Southwest Hospital, and Hermann Hospital.  Dr. Nasir is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology.
Dr. Nasir has a particular interest in ablation therapy for the treatment of arrhythmias as well as a keen interest in implantable defibrillators. He has authored or co-authored over 40 papers and abstracts relating to the broad aspects of cardiac electrophysiology and has lectured at several national meetings. Furthermore Dr. Nasir has been a co-investigator for multiple national studies, resulting in numerous publications.
He is the father of 3 children and is an avid outdoorsman.
