Dr. Valentina Ugolini, a native of Italy, is a Summa Cum Laude graduate with a degree in Medicine from the University of Rome. She attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, where she completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine in 1983. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Ugolini remained in Dallas to complete her fellowship in Cardiology from UT Southwestern in 1986.
Board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, Dr Ugolini has been a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, at the Baylor College of Medicine since 1988. She is a past Director and Co-Director Echocardiography Laboratory and Noninvasive Cardiac Laboratory of the Houston VA Medical Center. Dr Ugolini is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the Harris County Medical Society and the American Heart Association.
Dr. Ugolini has authored or co-authored dozens of papers and abstracts related to the topics of Cardiology. She has also been involved with many research projects as an investigator or director that have explored various aspects of Cardiology and training of medical residents and fellows.
She is the mother of three daughters.
